Oskar Fraas (1824-1897) was a German geologist and conservator of the natural history collection in Suttgart. Albert Stotz (1815-1893) founded his foundry in 1860 in Stuttgart. Both, Fraas and Stotz were members of the “Verein für vaterländische Naturkunde Württemberg”. Lit.: W. Bölsche, Das Leben der Urwelt. Aus den Tagen der großen Saurier, Leipzig, Dollheimer 1931 (the Stotz-Fraas model mentioned as a paperweight.)
